Play as Han Solo

Find C-3PO, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and R2-D2 throughout the game to unlock Han Solo in Free Play mode.

Red Parcel bonuses

A Red Parcel is hidden in every level. Once it is found, take it to the grey and red postbox hidden nearby. Note: Some postboxes must be assembled. Drop the Parcel in the postbox. When you return to Barnett College, enter the middle door on right side of hall to enter the mail room. You can now purchase the extra bonus that was unlocked by that Parcel.

Get a 100% completion to have Lego Studs rain inside Barnett College.

Hidden Star Wars character locations

C3PO: Play the Raiders Of The Lost Ark: The Lost Temple level. Find the room that is sealed off by metal Lego pieces. Use a bazooka or grenade in Free Play mode to reach him.

Chewbacca: Play the Raiders Of The Lost Ark: City Of Danger level. Reach the last area of the mission where you change to a guard and get through the checkpoint where the truck is stored. At the back of that area is a hieroglyphic display. Have a Scholar character complete the puzzle. Go inside the newly opened door to find the Mos Eisley cantina. Chewbacca is behind a fence, and can be reached with a short character such as the Maharaja or Short Round.

Luke Skywalker: Play the Raiders Of The Lost Ark: Into The Mountains level. Search inside the cave somewhere in the mountains. Use a bazooka or grenade in Free Play mode to enter it.

Princess Leia: Play the Temple Of Doom: Free The Slaves level. Go to the second to last room. Go near the machinery on the far right-hand side of the room, then walk toward the screen to find the way down to her.

R2-D2: Play The Last Crusade: Desert Ambush level. When you start, go left, and climb up the mountain to the gold chest. Once you get the chest, follow the ledge to the left. You should see a brown whip point. Use Indy's whip to pull down a tube from a Sandcrawler. R2-D2 will appear from it.

• Alternate ending sequence

• Alternate National Archaeology magazine

The contents of the National Archaeology magazine you get at the beginning of the game are different between the German version of the game and all other versions. The German version of the game shows only one picture of Indy and Sophia together. All other versions of the game have two pictures, one of only Indy and the other only of Sophia. The one in the German version was an early design to be used in all versions but was scrapped at the last minute; the game was already shipped to Germany for translation before the change was made.

• American Graffiti references

In the inner circle of Atlantis, after leaving the canal through the bronze doorway, there two markings near the burrowing machine (one on the inside of the machine's housing, and one on the outside). Look at either one first, and Indy will say, 'Atlantean Graffiti.' This is a reference to George Lucas's 1950's nostalgia movie American Graffiti. Look at the other marking, and Indy will say 'More Atlantean graffiti.' This is a reference to American Graffiti's sequel, More American Graffiti. These markings are also hints on how to operate the machine.

• Azores background plate

The background plate used for the Azores is based on a photograph of the Azores that appeared in an issue of National Geographic.

• Fortune outcome

The outcome of your fortune told by Sophia just before the game branches into the three paths depends on how you entered the theater in New York. If you talked your way in, Sophia will recommend the Team path. If you fought your way in, Sophia will recommend the Fists path. If you snuck in through the fire escape, Sophia will recommend the Wits path.

• Getting Started

New York: Pick up the newspaper and hassle the doorman. Insult him until he starts a fight, praise Madame Sophia or use the fire escape behind the crates - all methods gain access to the theatre. Chat to the man and when you can, ask him if there is something he'd rather be doing - give him the newspaper. Walk to the levers, push the first and third, press the button for a show.

• Programmer name

On the Team path, exchange the mask to Al-Jabbar for the baseball that was signed by Lou Gehrig. When it is in your inventory, look at it. Indy will state that the ball is actually signed by someone named Ron Gilbert. Ron Gilbert was the co-creator of the game engine used by the game: Script Command Utility for Maniac Mansion, or SCUMM.

• Shadow puppet show
